Woke Redefinition
The woke left has figured out a way to make the world a better place and save humanity.
Sorry, you may have misunderstood that statement. That's because I redefined the terms. What I meant was, the woke left has figured out a way to win arguments and fool the public. By redefining their terms, the woke say one thing but mean another and then attack anyone who doesn’t know the new meanings. It's clever. And frightening. Their arguments sound convincing to those who haven’t researched the subjects in depth. Let's consider just some of the terms they've redefined.
Lab leak. Dr. Fauci proclaimed over and over again in interview after interview since the start of the pandemic that while he’s "kept an open mind," any talk of COVID leaking from the Wuhan Institute of Virology is simply conspiracy theory. Evidence shows, he said, that COVID came from the wild, not from a laboratory. Now that government agencies have confirmed that it is possible, or even highly probable, that COVID leaked from the Wuhan lab, Fauci says that he was right all along. After all, the lab cultivated COVID from bats in the wild, so any leak from the lab actually had "a natural origin” as he says he claimed all along.
Logic like that means any secret papers found at Mar-a-Lago originally came from the White House and thus were not actually misappropriated. Which of these two arguments, relying on woke redefinition, will the Democrats accept, and which will they deny? Of course, that's the beauty of woke redefinition. It's flexible. It depends on the time, place, and the political party and/or ideology of the accused.
Proof. Along those same lines, the woke press, particularly Atlantic magazine and the New York Times have published front-page articles declaring "proof" that COVID did not come from the Wuhan lab but from the Wuhan market. What is this "proof"? They’ve examined DNA, given to them by the “unbiased” government-run Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, that allegedly came from animal cages in the market in Wuhan, and tests show them containing raccoon dog DNA along with COVID DNA. Interesting. I’d bet anything that if you collected samples from the Wuhan lab, you would find human DNA along with COVID DNA. I guess that using the woke definition of proof, I've just proved that COVID originated with humans. But which theory to believe? That’s not for you to decide, according to woke definition, that’s only for the woke to decide.
Vaccine. A vaccine used to mean something that provided immunity from a disease or that coaxed the body to become immune to disease. As we now know, the woke have redefined vaccine to mean "temporary treatment mandated by the government." The so-called COVID vaccines minimize the effects of COVID for at most a few months, carry a risk of serious side effects including death, and, according to recent studies, actually decrease the body's ability to fight off the disease.
Equity. The dictionary definition of equity is "the quality of being fair and impartial." The woke definition is "the quality of being unfair and biased for the purpose of coercing the results that a progressive activist believes is best."
Science. Science used to mean the formal pursuit of truth using unbiased tests and objective reasoning. The woke definition of science is consensus. If most scientists, or science reporters, or politicians who claim to understand science agree on something, or an obsessive compulsive teenager declares something, or some government authority decides something, then The Science is "settled." There will be no dissent!
Boy. Girl. Man. Woman. Gender. These basic terms have been used to define human beings since they came into existence at least 200,000 years ago. They are such simple concepts that even a child could understand the definitions. In fact, these used to be some of the first things a child learned. Now, according to the woke, they mean anything anyone wants them to mean. And you better not get them wrong or you’ll suffer severe consequences!
Nazis. These are no longer the most despicable mass murderers of the twentieth century, now they are just people with whom you disagree, especially those for whom you have no reasonable arguments against their positions. Or, more simply, anyone who disagrees with any of the other woke redefinitions.
