The Democrats keep proclaiming that voting for Republicans (or anyone other than them) is a vote to destroy our democracy. How ironic. Democrats believe that the ends justify the means. They believe that government can solve all problems. They believe in the rule of the elite. They certainly don’t believe in democracy. We don’t need to look hard to see this.
I remember the Democratic National Convention in 2012 when the floor vote on including support for Israel in the party platform was a very loud and clear “no,” but convention chairman Antonio Villaraigosa pretended, after three calls for the same vote and three very loud and clear “no” votes, that he heard “yes” and included the support in the platform. I appreciated their official Israel support, but it didn’t represent the opinion of the majority of Democrats then and certainly even less so now.
