I came across an article by Jay Bhattacharya, current Director of the National Institutes of Health. He’s the Stanford-educated (BS, MS, MD, and PhD) professor at Stanford in multiple departments including medicine, economics, and health research and policy, who was condemned and ostracized by the Biden administration and the media for questioning Biden’s COVID-19 policies and for co-authoring the Great Barrington Declaration that suggested the policies were causing “damaging physical and mental health impacts” that could be avoided by focusing protections on the elderly and the immunocompromised rather than the entire population.
This man is a hero for standing up against the horrific attacks upon him by the government, the media, other scientists, and students at Stanford who all believe that a “scientific consensus” means that groupthink must be enforced. Dr. Bhattacharya is leading an effort at NIH to remove bias and emphasize replication of scientific studies so that scientific conclusions are upheld or defeated by solid data not by the consensus of so-called experts. You can read about it here, and I strongly suggest that you do.
