Hamas has learned its lesson about October 7. The lesson is that raping, murdering, and kidnapping Israelis pays off in the international community. According to the Haaretz newspaper:
The Gaza Aid Foundation said Hamas ambushed a bus transporting its personnel, killing five of them and possibly kidnapping others. A hostage deal could be reached within days if Israel is serious about moving forward, an Arab diplomatic source told Haaretz.
Haaretz is one of the most anti-Israel newspapers in the world. Of course, it states this with the implication that it’s Netanyahu’s government that is holding up negotiations, not that Hamas continues to murder and kidnap, including Palestinians as well as Israelis. But of course, the usual suspects—the United Nations, the European Union, the far-left wing of the Democratic Party, and now mainstream media darlings like Greta Thunberg will hold Israel responsible for not self-destructing fast enough.

That quotation from Ha-Aretz is just amazing. To have the first sentence and the second sentence in the same paragraph is a leap of cognitive dissonance. How could the reporter believe what he or she wrote?
