Conservatives shouldn't celebrate overturning Roe in an election year. All Democrats, many independents, and some Republicans believe that killing a baby is the most important right that a "birthing person" has. Republicans could lose elections this year.

Not sure I agree with you on this one, Bob. I think the "consensus" in the country is pretty conservative, not that killing one's baby is all that important. Whether or not to allow abortion is close to a 50-50 split, and there is strong support for reducing incidence of abortion (and the associated legality) for third trimester procedures. The one absolutist cadre here is "college educated women" (the last cohort to continue supporting Joe Biden) and they're already going to vote their own way (Lefty). Not sure this is an overall downside for R's and conservatives. Admittedly, there are some who think reversing Roe will "make abortion illegal". And we have a task before us to ensure this misunderstanding doesn't spread. The fact that this new judgment will simply return the decision to the states, if we can make it broadly, will mitigate the worst of whatever fallout exists.
